TYPEFACE DESIGN.
Overview
This is my first attempt at creating a typeface from scratch. Critical was designed with the intent of being a display face that holds characteristics of futuristic and geometrical figures. There are not a lot of times when you can sit down and develop a typeface so I am happy to show what I was able to create. The first characters I designed were the t and the r both sharing some characteristics and setting the tone for the project.

As a final display of my typeface, I decided to bring a fundamentally flat device into the third dimension. This is a screenshot from my .stl file which I then 3D resin printed into a physical form. It was so fun to see my type come alive and be able to touch the curves and edges I formed.
